What the RHONJ Cast Really Thought of the Ireland Trip — Including That “Uncomfortable Moment”

In between some more dramatic moments, The Real Housewives of New Jersey cast had a lighthearted craic (aka fun) when they visited Ireland on Season 13.

The group of ladies — including Teresa Giudice, Melissa Gorga, Dolores Catania, Jennifer Aydin, Danielle Cabral, Jackie Goldschneider, Jennifer Fessler, Rachel Fuda, and Margaret Josephs — enjoyed a beer-chugging competition, an unexpected discussion about one cast member’s past rendezvous with a Sopranos actor, and a day of shopping during their vacation to the Emerald Isle, which could explain why one ’Wife called it the “best cast trip ever” and another said it was her “favorite.”

During an April appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, Melissa, who has been part of the cast since Season 3, said she considered Ireland to be the best trip — until she watched Episode 10.

“Ireland, out of all my trips on The [Real] Housewives for 13 years, has been my favorite, and then I saw tonight’s episode,” she said, potentially referring to the conversation Danielle and Jennifer Aydin had in the latter cast member’s room at their castle accommodations.

When Margaret and Jackie appeared on the talk series a week later, they agreed with what Melissa said about her Ireland experience.

“I think that was our best cast trip ever,” Margaret said, before also referencing some of the drama that went down. “We all had a great time, minus that I didn’t know what was going on behind closed doors.”

“We had the best time,” Jackie shared. “It was so much fun.”

While the aforementioned cast members have been outspoken about how they had a great time on the cast vacation, there were moments when the ladies weren’t exactly having fun. In addition to Jennifer and Danielle’s chat, sisters-in-law Teresa and Melissa got into a disagreement on the bus ride back from their shopping day after Rachel asked them a question about their family. The moment, it turns out, had a lasting impact on some of the other ’Wives.

“That was one of the most uncomfortable moments I’ve had in [Housewives] history,” Jackie said during The Real Housewives of New Jersey After Show, referring to the interaction between the sisters-in-law .

“We were all like, ‘Nope… don’t go there,’” Jennifer Fessler added.
